La loi marocaine n° 131-13 régit cette pratique, stipulant que seuls les médecins qualifiés peuvent effectuer des actes médicaux, y compris la chirurgie esthétique. La Société Marocaine de Chirurgie Plastique Reconstructrice et Esthétique (SMCPRE) joue un rôle clé dans la promotion de cette spécialité et la défense des droits des patients. Cependant, des défis persistent, notamment la pratique illégale par des non-professionnels, ce qui pose des risques pour la santé. Les chirurgiens plasticiens sont tenus de respecter des normes strictes et peuvent être tenus responsables en cas de faute médicale. L'augmentation de la demande en chirurgie esthétique est influencée par des facteurs culturels et sociaux, ainsi que par l'impact des réseaux sociaux sur les perceptions de beauté. La thèse vise à analyser le cadre juridique de la chirurgie plastique au Maroc pour améliorer la sécurité des patients et encadrer les pratiques professionnelles.
Plastic surgery in Morocco is a rapidly growing discipline that includes both aesthetic and reconstructive interventions. Moroccan law n° 131-13 regulates this practice, stating that only qualified physicians can perform medical acts, including aesthetic surgery. The Moroccan Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SMCPRE) plays a key role in promoting this specialty and defending patient rights. However, challenges persist, particularly regarding illegal practices by non-professionals, which pose health risks. Plastic surgeons are required to adhere to strict standards and can be held liable in cases of medical malpractice. The increasing demand for aesthetic surgery is influenced by cultural and social factors, as well as the impact of social media on beauty perceptions. The thesis aims to analyze the legal framework surrounding plastic surgery in Morocco to improve patient safety and regulate professional practices.
