HYPERTENSION ARTERIELLE SECONDAIRE ET SES COMPLICATIONSDIAGNOSTIC ET ROLE DE L’IMAGERIE / ABIDE ZAKARIA
Titre : HYPERTENSION ARTERIELLE SECONDAIRE ET SES COMPLICATIONSDIAGNOSTIC ET ROLE DE L’IMAGERIE Type de document : thèse Auteurs : ABIDE ZAKARIA, Auteur Année de publication : 2023 Langues : Français (fre) Mots-clés : HTA secondaire Échographie TDM IRM Résumé : Hypertension is a common issue; if left untreated, it can lead to significant
complications. About 10% of patients with hypertension are classified as having secondary
hypertension, defined as hypertension attributable to a specific and potentially reversible
cause. The assessment of secondary hypertension begins with gathering the patient's clinical
data and performing screening laboratory tests. Targeted imaging examinations can be
conducted, based on the laboratory test results, to identify potential causes of secondary
hypertension. These causes can be broadly categorized into endocrine factors, such as
hyperaldosteronism, pheochromocytoma, and hyperparathyroidism, as well as non-endocrine
factors like aortic coarctation and renovascular hypertension.
Furthermore, individuals with hypertension can develop significant complications that
also require diagnosis through imaging techniques. These complications encompass
conditions affecting both the cardiovascular and central nervous systems.
This work reviews the imaging assessment process and the visual characteristics of
certain causes of secondary hypertension. Treatment options are discussed, as well as imaging
manifestations of hypertension-related complications. It is important for radiologists to
accurately diagnose the underlying secondary causes of hypertension, as many of them are
treatable, and treatment can lead to symptom improvement or resolution of hypertensionNuméro (Thèse ou Mémoire) : MS1862023 Directeur : EDDERAI MERYEM HYPERTENSION ARTERIELLE SECONDAIRE ET SES COMPLICATIONSDIAGNOSTIC ET ROLE DE L’IMAGERIE [thèse] / ABIDE ZAKARIA, Auteur . - 2023.
